My name is Shanti. I’m from Harlem, but my mom put me up for adoption when I was two, and I was adopted by a white family from Westchester. There isn’t really much to me. I try my best, and do everything I can to be the best. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t enough for my own mother, I don’t know. But I like to succeed, and I like to succeed perfectly. I’ve been attending Columbia for three years now. I was accepted early on account of my academic excellences. I’ve never even considered modeling until one day on my way to school I was stopped by a scout. Of course now that I’ve considered it, I want to be the perfect model. I don’t do anything half-way.
 
- Why do you want to be in this competition? -
Like I said, I like to do things the best and I think this competition can help me become the best.
 
- What can you bring to the competition? What is your strength? -
I think that I have a very unique face, and an interesting personality, as well as sense of style. I don’t think I’m like the usual cookie-cutter model, and my past makes me a more relatable person. My strength is definitely my ethnic facial features. I’ve got color, and no my hair isn’t naturally straight but I think that makes me a better model.
 
- Who is your role model? -
My role model is definitely Liya Kebede. She’s a known model, she’s so beautiful, and I think she stays true to herself, which I value. But I also love Coco Rocha, because she has such interesting facial features and is a great model, and I admire Chanel Iman for her natural beauty.

In religion I learned about Hinduism, and there was this piece of writing called the Bhagavad Gita. And its like the most awesome thing to say.

Bio: This young dime's mother was also a Alpha Epsilon Phi and it was also a given that she would be too. The young girl is very timid and sloppy. never lady like even when she wants to be. Poor Francesca is what you call a young depressed teenager who didn't get to bloom by time college. Don't get me wrong, she's gorgeous and rich, but she's probably got the worst self esteem you will ever see for a young girl. If she's not complaining about how much life and boys suck then she's complaining about how fat and repulsive she looks when really she's a twig little thing. she never eats and looks as if you could nock her over by tapping her shoulder. She's so skinny that she starts to shake after standing still for a while. The other girls don't really worry that much though since they all would rather her look weak and sick than potentially fat and gross.
Secret: She's got anorexia and when she is forced to eat she simply pukes it all up.
